This dressing gown is in Excellent vintage condition and appears unworn.  No shattering of the silk lining, no discoloration under the arms (or anywhere else that would signify wear) and it's very clean.  A museum quality piece that you'd expect to see on the Big Screen.

 Gorgeous, museum quality, Asian Style, Silk, Brocade Dressing Gown.  The estate that I acquired this from dated it to the late 1920's, but based on the styling, I believe it's more likely from the early 1930's.  This piece truly needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.  From the deep Cranberry - Plum jewel tone, to the iridescent embroidery that shimmers in an array of rainbow colored jewel tones and reflects intricately detiled Asian scenery, pictures just cannot do it justice.  It features a textured (topstitched) trapunto butterfly collar, puff sleeves that also feature the trapunto topstitching at the sleeve cuffs, frog closures down the front and a silk lining.  A classy, elegant, rare piece that will bring some old Hollywood glamour to any wardrobe.
